Christian Youth in Action (CYIA) training...
...is for teens ages 14 & older who want to teach 5-Day Clubs and reach kids for Christ!
CYIA will be June 14-19, 2009 at Faith Baptist Bible College in Ankeny.
Once CYIA training is over, teens return to their home Chapter and teach 5-Day Clubs, do Gospel FacePainting at County Fairs, and teach VBS in churches. Teens learn how to share the Gospel, using the colors of the Wordless Book. They will be equipped immediately to lead children and others to the Lord!
Last year in Iowa, our summer missionaries reached 3,062 children, and led 510 of them to a saving knowledge of the Lord Jesus!
God can use you to reach the next generation for Him. Leading someone to Christ is a thrill. Contact your Local Chapter Director for a CYIA application or log onto summermissions.com
April 17 & 18, 2009
The Columbine School shootings in Littleton CO happened 10 years ago this April. Rachel Scott was the first student killed that day, because of her faith in Jesus Christ. Her mother, Beth Nimmo, will be our featured speaker on Saturday April 18, 7pm at First Federated Church in Des Moines. Beth will take us right back to that day, and share how God was at work in her daughter's life. Her message is a powerful one that all should hear. Admission is free, music will be included, dessert will be served, and a freewill offering will be taken.
On Friday April 17, Beth Nimmo will speak at a youth event with a message especially for teens. This will be held at Des Moines Christian School in Urbandale. Admission is free. For more information on these events, call the State CEF Office at 712-274-6217.
