JYC is a new CEF program for kids ages 11-14 (middle schoolers). JYC stands for Jesus & You Connection.
WHY START JYC IN YOUR AREA? - - Teens are too old for Good News Clubs. The children we have in our Good News Clubs one day become teens. They no longer fit into the children's program. What will become of them?
TEENS STILL NEED SOLID BIBLICAL TEACHING - - We do not want them to enter a spiritual wilderness after several years spent in Good News Club. Some may have not trusted Christ as Savior yet, and need to hear the Gospel. Others need help to grow in their faith. Who will teach them?
THE PLACE OF JYC IN THE TOTAL PROGRAM OF CEF:
Good News Clubs reach children.
JYC follows up and trains 11-14 year olds.
Outreach opportunities through CEF give further training for ministry (Christian Youth in Action, Summer Missions, Fast Track to Missions)
The teens volunteer or become full time workers evangelizing more children as they get older. They learn how to share the Gospel and counsel children for salvation.
Are you interested in JYC training, so you can take the Gospel into the public middle schools?
Contact your local CEF Chapter Director or the State Office to find out when the next training will be held.
