What is Chicagoland '08?
Chicagoland '08 is a citywide evangelistic campaign where hundreds of Child Evangelism Fellowship® staff,
missionaries and trained volunteers will partner with churches to bring God's
Word to children. The CEF®
family is planning a three week "family reunion" in Chicago July 22 through August
12, 2008, to serve alongside your church to help you grow through evangelistic
outreach to children.
We are coming to serve your church and your
community. We will help you grow your church through:
•
Evangelizing children in your community with teams of
missionaries and youth conducting exciting 5-Day Clubs.
•
Offering training to the adults and teens in your
church. They will learn how to
evangelize children and how to effectively prepare and teach Bible lessons,
songs and memory verses.
•
Providing literature for ongoing children's ministry
after we leave.
•
Helping you start a weekly Bible club (Good News Club®)
in an elementary public school near you or an alternative location where many
children congregate.
•
Inviting the children and their family members to your church for a special rally.

World Headquarters Positions
The CEF World Headquarters is located about 50 miles west of St. Louis in Warrenton, Missouri. The staff at the CEF World Headquarters serves our missionaries by providing leadership, training, materials and other resources to help them reach children with the Gospel. As positions become open, we are seeking qualified people who are dedicated to the Lord Jesus Christ and the Great Commission, believe in the importance of child evangelism, and want to be part of the Lord's work. Whether your background is in finance, management, administration, literature production, maintenance, or something else, this could be the opportunity God is opening for you to serve Him!
Field Staff Positions
God has chosen to use people to spread His Gospel to the children of the world. We are praying that God would send forth His choice of additional missionaries to minister to the children. There are critical needs for missionaries throughout the United States and around the world. The following are typical positions in which CEF missionaries serve. Our desire is to have our missionaries serve in positions that are a good fit for the way God has called, gifted and equipped them.
Children's Ministry Specialist - Minister to children through Good News Club®, 5-Day Club® and other outreach.
Ministry Coordinator - Establish, organize and encourage the club ministries within a local area, helping more unchurched children hear the Gospel.
Camp Director - Lead a team of staff and volunteers to make a local Camp Good News® a life-changing experience for children.
Local Director - Lead a team of staff and volunteers to make a lasting impact on the next generation in a local area.
State Director - Lead and develop other CEF missionaries in a state, helping them fulfill God's call on their lives to reach children for Christ.
Overseas Missionary - Take the Gospel to a country outside the U.S. Opportunities for overseas ministry are many and varied. More detailed information is available.

The Ministry Staffing Program
Please note: This information applies to USA and USA-sent international missionaries only.
Child Evangelism Fellowship® is a worldwide, Bible-centered faith ministry operating in over 155 countries. The purpose of CEF is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ, disciple them in the Word of God and establish them in a Bible believing church for Christian living.
As part of the Ministry Staffing Program, you will become fully trained, supported and equipped to be a full-time CEF missionary serving in the world's largest evangelistic children's ministry.
Eight Steps to Ministry
Application and Screening - Contact CEF for your application packet and submit it. References will then be checked and screening conducted. Some applicants may know their final place of service at this time.
Hiring Decision - Interview with the Hiring Committee. After being hired, you will be assigned a ministry preparation coach. Your coach will lead you through customized ministry preparation, designed to equip you for the ministry God has called you to and will include, but not be limited to, the following (the order may vary):
Candidate School - Attend a two-week school offered several times a year. Get to know CEF ministries and begin raising personal prayer and financial support with the help of your coach. There is no cost for this school.
Raising Personal Support - Raise personal prayer and financial support with the help of your coach. Amount of time varies with each person (6 - 18 months).
Bible Training- Attend one year of Bible school. This can be done anytime before you are placed on the field. Courses may be taken on campus or by correspondence. You may also test out of this requirement.
Children's Ministries Institute® - Attend a three-month course preparing you to evangelize and disciple children in dynamic outreach ministries, equipping you to teach others and helping you build leadership skills. Training is held at the CEF World Headquarters in Warrenton, Missouri.
Internship - Enjoy practical training working alongside a CEF missionary - time varies. ( 9 - 18 months)
Placement - Receive assignment and begin your ministry in the USA or in another country through CEF International Ministries (IM).

Volunteer Opportunties

Experience change as you help CEF® reach children with the Gospel.
Child Evangelism Fellowship®, the world's largest ministry to children, has 2,500 missionaries and thousands of volunteers who reached over 8 million boys and girls with the Gospel in the last ministry year.
Over 900 volunteers helped by serving at CEF World Headquarters 50 miles west of St. Louis, Missouri. More volunteers are needed to help CEF reach even more children!
Local area volunteers serve throughout the weekdays, while visiting volunteers stay a minimum of one week (Arrive Sunday; depart Saturday morning). Lunch is provided for local volunteers and full meals and lodging (private room or RV site) is provided for visiting volunteers.
God has given you a wide variety of skills and experiences. We desire to match your skills and abilities with the needs during the time you are here. Here are some areas needing volunteer help:
