Immanuel Prabu of India knows firsthand the effectiveness of CEF® ministry.
He was led to the Lord at just five years old through the Wordless Book after his sister took a training class! immanuel says, "That was my first experience of joy in my life."
Immanuel grew in his spiritual life through Good News Club then became a CEF volunteer, Good News Club
teacher, and instructor of teachers. After interning he became the
state director, training institute director, and is now the national
director of promotion.
In India, 1,623 languages are spoken
and only two percent of the population is Christian. National workers
are key to reaching them with the Gospel.
Immanuel shoulders
many responsibilities as he seeks to reach the children. Presently he
is directing the local work in Chennai (formerly Madras), instructing
teachers and doing all he can to bring others into the ministry.
"If a child accepts Christ as his Savior, his total life is
transformed. The span of his life is long to live for the Lord.
Everyone should understand that we [children's evangelists] are
repairing the foundation of the future generation."
In the
last quarter Immanuel has been able to lead 1,200 children to Christ!
He tells of one little girl named Jayapradha who accepted Christ and
became such a blessing at home that her parents also came to Christ.
Immanuel's life verse is Hebrews 13:5, "...I will never leave thee, nor
forsake thee." He says"From my childhood I had been facing alot of
difficulties. There were many times I suffered for my survival. Many
people whom I trusted most have forsaken me. But from the beginning
until today, the Lord has never forsaken me."
- Pray for the painful problem Immanuel has with a disc in his back.
- Pray for Immanuel and the other national workers of India to be able to raise more support. Many are in financial crisis.
- Pray for him and his wife, Fanny, as they strive to raise their children Daniel and Samuel for the Lord.
- There are over 337 million children under the age of fourteen
in India! Pray for more people to become CEF workers to reach them!
