Rejection. Fear. Hopelessness. Throughout America, our communities are afflicted with these and other similar problems, which often lead to violence, broken homes, addiction, and unemployment. Everywhere, multitudes of people are suffering and not living up to who God intended them to be.
In Hosea 4:6, the Lord says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge.” When God’s Word is absent from our communities, dysfunction and evil reign, while lives are wasted and destroyed.
However, there is hope. Romans 1:16 says the Gospel “is the power of God unto salvation to every one that believeth,” and Psalm 119:130 tells us that “the entrance of [God’s] words giveth light.” Do you want to shatter the darkness shrouding your community? Do you want to bring true hope and security to your neighbors? Become part of a national movement that is taking God’s Word to the heart of our communities – the children.
All across America, men and women just like you, who are committed to the Lord Jesus Christ, are getting involved in sharing the Gospel with children wherever they are: in public schools, after-school programs, housing developments, and playgrounds. They know from first-hand experience how open children are to hearing God’s Word, and they see the transforming impact it can have in young lives.
As children respond to God’s Word in faith, their lives are changed. The power of rejection, fear, and hopelessness is broken as they come to know the God who made them and loves them personally. Then, this love spreads. Children invite their friends to come and hear the Good News of salvation in the Lord Jesus Christ. Parents, teachers, and principals take notice. As the Word of God spreads throughout the community, true and lasting changes can take place. And as those children grow and become teenagers and adults, they can become who God intended them to be from the beginning. They are the future of our communities.

• Pray for the children in your community. Pray that they will have the opportunity to hear God’s Word and that, when they do, they will respond in faith.
