Liberty
University officially
announced a partnership with CEF’s
Children’s Ministries Institute® in offering two new degrees in
children’s ministry.
The undergraduate degree will be a Bachelor of Science in
Religion with a specialization in children’s ministry. Students will attend CMI
in Warrenton, MO for one semester to receive the
children’s ministry component of the degree.
Liberty Theological Seminary will
also offer a Master of Arts degree in children’s ministry in conjunction with
CMI.
Liberty founder Dr. Jerry
Falwell said, “I want every Liberty student in
this program to be trained by…Children’s
Ministries Institute on
their campus in St. Louis
for one semester!”
Dr. Martha Wright, vice president of education for CEF and a graduate of LU, has been working with Liberty on the details of
the program. Down through the years CMI has gained a reputation for its highly
effective training for children’s ministry practitioners. It is a great privilege
to have been selected by the largest evangelical university in the world to be
their provider of training for students who will specialize in children’s
ministry.

Most children can be found in a school more often than in any other place. God opened public schools across America so that Good News Clubs can be held on site immediately after school.
