Chicagoland 08 FAQ: Funding

How much support will I need to raise in order to participate in Chicagoland '08?  Does this amount cover each aspect of the three-week trip?

You will need to raise a minimum of $825 to cover the costs of your three-week ministry in Chicago.   These monies will cover nearly all of the expenses of the trip, including food, lodging, ministry supplies, and transportation within the Chicago area.

In addition, you will also need to raise the funds needed for your transportation to and from the Chicago area.  If this cost is minimal, you may choose to pay it out of your own pocket.

Where should my supporters send their gifts?  By what date must all my support be raised?

Your support will initially be sent to either your local or state office, depending on where your account is currently kept.  If you have any questions as to the location of your account, you will need to contact your local director.  The appropriate local or state office will need to turn in the required $825 to the Recruitment Department at CEF World Headquarters by no later than July 1, 2008.

May I raise additional funds to cover travel costs and/or a stipend?

Each Chicagoland missionary may raise extra funds to cover travel and a stipend, if he/she desires to do so.  Everyone desiring to raise extra funds will need to work with the CEF office where his or her account is kept to determine and approve an appropriate budget to cover these extra costs.  This office is also responsible for disbursing excess funds appropriately.

Prayer Requests

Stop and Pray!
Each weekday at 9:00 am CEF Mailbox Club volunteers gather to pray for the kids and prisoners enrolled in Mail Box Club. Will you set aside a specific time to pray too? Drop us a note and let us know you are with us in prayer for the hearts of inmate's children.
