Millions of children in the United States have a parent in prison. These precious little ones are seven times more likely to be incarcerated at some time in their lives than children from the same environment whose parents have not been imprisoned. It is not uncommon for two or three generations of one family to be locked up at the same time, and even in the same facility.
Despite these grim statistics, we believe that these children are not doomed to follow their parents to prison. While their earthly parents may have left them a legacy of heartache and despair, their Heavenly Father offers joy and hope. Child Evangelism Fellowship® wants both the prisoners and their children to experience this joy and hope and to be set free through the Gospel of Christ.
