SPAN

span_logo The Sponsor-A-National™ program is a vital part of reaching children for Christ. When one considers the great population of children worldwide, it is clear that many more workers are needed. SPAN™  enables adults who are CEF® trained and approved to become full-time children’s ministry workers while they develop a support team.

Roy Harrison, CEF regional director for Europe stated, “I would like to thank those who have been giving to the Sponsor-A-National program. There are 16 national workers in Europe receiving regular gifts from SPAN.. This has been a wonderful encouragement and help to them.”

Many countries in which SPAN recipients serve are in economic hardship. Some countries have not had a missionary tradition in which Christians support one another financially in ministry. In other countries the religious climate makes support raising very difficult.

Richard Acquaye, CEF regional director for West Africa, said, “SPAN has been a blessing in the sense that there are many recipients working in strong Islamic places. They are reaching the children at the risk of their lives. Now how do you expect the parents of these children to really support this worker knowing that they are coming to present the Gospel to their children? With SPAN support the worker is able to continue to do the work .”

The Sponsor-A-National (SPAN) program provides financial assistance to CEF national workers so they can begin full-time service with CEF. When CEF begins establishing ministry in a new country there are always financial costs involved. Sponsor-A-Nation™ provides funds needed for legal fees, office rental and utility bills to begin this process. Donations may be mailed to: CEF, PO Box 348, Warrenton, MO  63383.  For more information call  Tanya at (636) 456-4321 (ext. 244).
