 Every Tuesday Child Evangelism Fellowship® head quarters staff and volunteers gather in the International Plaza to raise nine flags and then pray for those countries. Eight of the flags are from a country that is in each of the eight regions that CEF® is currently working in and the ninth flag is for a country that has been specifically targeted by the regional directors to get the work going in within the year.

Latin America: GUATEMALA
- Pray
for the national directors, Ismael and Carmen López, as they minister in this
Spanish-speaking country. Please ask the
Lord of the harvest to bring forth more laborers as there are only three staff
members they are working with.
- Pray for Christian people of this country to
have a burden for their children and want to see them won to the Lord.
Europe: ROMANIA
- Praise
God for the country directors, Iulian & Anca Mangalagiu. They officially took over the leadership from
Linda Corry in February and are a great blessing to the work. Please pray that God will bless the
leadership of the mission with much wisdom from Him. Pray that God will save many children in Romania and
that He will be glorified in the staffs lives and ministry.
- Praise
God for the possibility to distribute the "Meet the King" booklet to
550,000 homes over the past year. Please
pray for the project for 2009 to distribute the "Meet the King" booklet
in hundreds of unreached villages in Romania.
- Praise
God for the Wonder Devotional Book that is being used by 50,000 children across
Romania.
- Praise
God for 1,895 children who attended a CEF camp this summer and for 206 of them
who trusted the Lord Jesus as their Saviour.
- Praise
God for 5,500 prayer partners and 500 financial supporters from Romania.
- Praise
God for the Christmas shoe boxes that arrived safely last week and the
opportunity that they bring to share the Gospel with thousands of children at
this time of year.
- Please
pray that the Wonder Devotional Book will be used by 150,000 more children
during 2009.
- Pray
that God will use the Christmas Clubs as a means of opening doors for the
regular GNC ministry.
Middle East: BANGLADESH
- Pray for D.L.
(national coordinator from Korea)
as he ministers to the multitudes of boys and girls. They have no
staff. Pray for workers!
- Pray for the
ministries in this country as it is one of the most densely populated countries
in the world and has a high poverty rate. The children need to hear about
Jesus!
East & Central
Africa: SUDAN
- Pray for Pamala
Martinez (USA sent missionary) and (Mr.) Francis Candian (national) as they
minister in this difficult, war-torn country.
- Continue to pray
for the land situation in Sudan.
This month the regional director (Joseph Kavuli) traveled to Sudan to meet
with the elders that are offering CEF free land. Please pray they won’t
change their minds or give the land to someone else.
- Southern Africa/Indian Ocean: MOZAMBIQUE
- Pray
for the national director, (Mr.) Jossefa Ngomane, as he leads the
ministry. Pray they can get more committed
workers appointed by God to minister to the precious boys and girls in this
region of Africa where Portuguese is the
official language.
West
Africa: SIERRA LEONE
- Pray
for the national director, (Miss) Eileen Armartey, and Joselyn Davies, staff
member. Pray that God would call many
into full-time work where the Krio language is spoken by 97% of the people. Pray that God would provide for all of their
needs. Pray for traveling mercies for
Eileen and Joselyn (staff member) as they travel about doing ministry.
Asia Pacific: MACAU
- Pray
for Mei-Mei Lee, USA
missionary to Macau, who is actually in the USA at present time. Pray for Mei-Mei to be able to get her visa
as she goes to seminary in Singapore.
- Pray
for wisdom for Ruth and the team back in Macau
in Mei-Mei’s absence. Pray for the
national board as they lead and guide the staff.
- Pray
for God’s provision for the new office, training and resource center. May the Lord touch hearts to pray and to
give.
North
America/Caribbean: USA
- Pray
for Moises Esteves, vice-president
of USA
ministries, that God would give him much wisdom.
- Praise
God for the completion of the Church Partnership Plan.
- Pray
that the Plan will be well received by the field staff and eagerly implemented.
- Pray
that the Plan will result in many more public schools with GNCs.
- Pray
for God to raise up state directors for the 12 states that currently don’t have
state directors.
- Pray
for God’s financial provision for local chapters, states and the international
headquarters.
- Pray
for growth in the number of children reached through CEF ministries in the USA and for
many souls saved.
Target Country: SYRIA (Middle East)
- Pray
for Vassilios Constantinidis, regional director of the Middle
East, as he leads the ministry in this unsettled region.
- Pray for the students who were able to attend the
Institute in Brazil to be
able to get the ministry started in Syria as they are back home now.
