16 Caribbean CMI Scholarships
Children in the Caribbean
are wide open to the Gospel. Child
Evangelism Fellowship workers have open access into most schools. Bible
lessons, memory verses, songs, missionary stories can all be presented in the
average classroom. Giving an invitation to receive Christ is acceptable in
school assemblies and teachers and principals welcome Christian values. It is
so amazing that it is hard to take in at times.
Our region is a ripe
harvest field, but the laborers are few. We have a great opportunity to train
CEF workers to harvest this field of children. January to April 2010 we are planning our
region’s first Caribbean CMI. God has provided a location in Georgetown, Guyana S.A. We hope
to have 16 students attend. Many of our Caribbean countries are some of the
poorest in the western hemisphere, so paying their own way would be very
difficult if not impossible. The cost of a scholarship would be $2700 per
student which fee includes room and board, training and materials.
Each trained worker will
reach hundreds of boys and girls. They will also train others who in turn will
reach hundreds of more children. A small team from Canada ministering in
Barbados this summer for just two weeks, reached over 6000 children in
government run camps. 425 of those children were counseled for salvation! Think
what a trained full-time CEF worker could do working year round in this
fruitful field! Please consider sending
a laborer into the Caribbean harvest field.
