You can request an application by contacting the CEF Human Resources Department at 1-800-300-4033 ext. 396 or by e-mailing us at This email address is being protected from spam bots, you need Javascript enabled to view it

Applicants should possess the following qualifications:

1. Personal experience of salvation through Jesus Christ with assurance from the Word of God.

2. Conviction of a divine call to missionary service with children through CEF.

3. Strong belief that even little children can be saved.

4. Previous involvement in children’s ministry in CEF or their local church.

5. Consistent Christian life and character as evidenced by a good testimony at home, at church and in the community.

6. Member in good standing in a local church.

7. Personal initiative and a high level of self-motivation.

8. Teachable spirit—willingness to learn.

9. Respect for authority and willingness to accept direction and correction.

10. Cooperative spirit—willingness to be a team player.

11. Enthusiastic willingness to participate and excel in every area of FTM program.

12. Full agreement with the CEF Statement of Faith and willingness to abide by theWorker’s Compliance Agreement and all CEF policies.

13. High school graduate.

14. Potential for academic and ministry success.

15. Parental approval and support.

16. Willingness to raise 100% of the personal support that will be needed to be placed on the mission field (an average single CEF missionary will need between $4000 and $4500 per month in order to be placed on the mission field after all ministry preparation steps are complete).

FTM is seeking candidates who are committed to the Lord Jesus Christ and who intend to enter full-time missionary service with Child Evangelism Fellowship. While candidates should have a solid academic background, applicants with a troubled academic past but with good references and commitment to study will also be considered. Prospective candidates should show potential for success in this program while giving evidence of outstanding Christian character and witness.

An interview will take place with each applicant to ensure that the young person accepted into the FTM program has God’s calling on his/her life, meets the established requirements for the program and is of the highest caliber. When accepted into the FTM program, candidates will complete their one year of Bible/theological training on the campus of an approved Christian college or Bible Institute and progress through the program as designed.

Acceptance into the FTM program does not guarantee a position with CEF. Candidates will be evaluated during each phase of the program and a final recommendation will be made regarding further ministry with CEF. Certain positions may require additional training.

Programs can be designed with some flexibility according to the goals of the individual.
