What are the Components of the Program? |
Year 1
Bible/Theological Training; 36 credits
- Old Testament Survey
- New Testament Survey
- Bible Electives (2)
- Systematic Theology 1 and 2
- Hermeneutics
- Theology Elective
- Cross Cultural Ministry
- Speech Communication (or English Composition)
- A minimum of 36 hours must be completed in two 18-hour semesters or three 12-hour trimesters.
- The above courses or their equivalent must be included.
- Other subjects or electives may be required by the college of choice.
- Recommended electives: Apologetics, Ministry Leadership/Principles of Leadership, Child Development.
- FTM students will teach a CEF Good News Club® as their Christian service assignment.
- FTM office will work with the student to determine his/her program.
- Summer—Urban or overseas assignment with CEF; 4 credits
Year 2
- Fall Semester—Children’s Ministries Institute; 19 credits
- Spring Semester—Supervised internship
- at CEF World Headquarters and support raising; 16 credits
- Summer—Urban or overseas assignment with CEF; 4 credits
Year 3
- Supervised internship in a local area in the USA; 30 credits
