CYIA – Testimony

Jericah Smith, from Broken Arrow, Oklahoma, was 13 years old when she attended her first Christian Youth in Action® (CYIA) training in 2015. “CYIA gave me a new grasp of the Gospel. I was very blessed to grow up in a Christian home, and my faith had really never been tested before. CYIA put me in a place where I had to trust God and surrender to Him,” Jericah says. “I had to trust God for His help and strength.”

Even though she had received Christ as her Savior before CYIA, Jericah says that CYIA is where her relationship with God began to become something personal in her life. It is the tool that God used to show Jericah how to surrender to Him and His will.

“I’m thankful that God led me to attend CYIA,” Jericah says. Not only did it help me to understand the Gospel better, but it gave me the tools to present it to others.”

God used Jericah’s third year of CYIA to give her a passion for building up the next generation of believers to be spiritual leaders wherever God takes them. As part of her pursuit of this passion, Jericah recently graduated from CMI® at Child Evangelism Fellowship® International Headquarters.
