Sales and Service Intern

Position:         Intern

Department:   Sales and Service – Shipping

Supervisor:      Shipping Team Leader

General Responsibilities:

Effectively works to pick, pack, and ship customer orders in a manner that insures delivery as scheduled and undamaged.

Realizes the importance of the CEF Culture Points and commits to upholding them personally and in the ministry of CEF (the importance of Godly leadership at every level, of the spiritual welfare of our workers, of prayer as our foundation, of evangelizing children, of a clear and Biblical presentation of the Gospel and of a commitment to excellence, for the glory of God).

Specific Responsibilities:

• Accomplishes the orderly and prompt picking of orders with accuracy
• Verifies picked order, and packs in appropriate shipping container with speed and accuracy to insure delivery without damage
• Stocking of product and shipping materials as needed
• Provides supervisor with prompt notice of low or out-of-stock items
• Appropriate use of materials while limiting waste
• Maintains clean and uncluttered work areas, empties trash, assists in cleaning of warehouse
• Follows all department policies and procedures including those for interns
• Working with other departments in Support Services as requested
• Assists with other tasks as directed when Team Leader is absent or unavailable
• Performs any other tasks assigned

Essential Job Functions:

• Attention to detail and accurate recordkeeping
• Ability to lift 40 lbs
• Ability to use tape machines, tape guns, and computers for processing orders
• Team player mentality
