Over ten years ago, God led us to pray that Child Evangelism Fellowship could establish ministry in every nation by this year—2017. We are so close to seeing that become reality. However, there is one major obstacle, and that is the country of North Korea.
Jesus told His disciples, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all that I have commanded you. And behold, I am with you always, to the end of the age” (Mathew. 28:19-20).
Over the last two years, I have asked people everywhere I go to pray God will throw open the doors to North Korea for the Gospel.
In February, I was in West Africa and shared this request. Our leaders there, Richard Acquaye and Alex Twum, picked up on this idea. While I was with them in Good News Clubs in Ghana and Senegal, they told the children, “There are boys and girls who cannot go to Good News Clubs—because the clubs are not allowed in their country. Will you pray for the children in North Korea, that they will be able to have GNCs in their country? Last month, I asked CEF staff and volunteers in Cuba to ask their children in Good News Club to also pray for the children in North Korea.
Right now, the eyes of the world are on North Korea. God has given me a strong burden to mobilize millions of boys and girls around the world to pray for the children in North Korea—to be able to attend a Good News Club and hear about Jesus.
Will you stand shoulder to shoulder with me? Will you pray for the children in North Korea and ask others to pray–especially boys and girls?
One day you will hear that Good News Clubs are meeting across North Korea. All glory and praise will go to our great and mighty God. Children around the globe will be encouraged when they see how God answered their prayers for GNCs in this country.
We have a strategy in place and are ready to enter the country with ministry when the door opens.
We will send tools and suggestions soon for you to use with the children you reach—at Good News Clubs, 5-Day Clubs, Camp Good News, in churches and other places. Please send us your ideas as well—we want to hear from you.
There is an urgency. Let us act now—for the children!
