Child Evangelism Fellowship® is a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living.

Position: HR Assistant

Department: Human Resources

Supervisor: Director of Human Resources

General Responsibilities

Work together with Human Resources team to provide excellent customer service to staff, associates, and guests. Coordinate monthly HR events for staff, Guide Retreat events, Internship program, and tours of facility. Coordinate communication between HR and IHQ staff through daily announcements. Assist HR team as needed or assigned by Director of Human Resources.

Realizes the importance of the CEF® Culture Points and commits to upholding them personally and in the ministry of CEF (the importance of Godly leadership at every level, of the spiritual welfare of our workers, of prayer as our foundation, of evangelizing children, of a clear and Biblical presentation of the Gospel and of a commitment to excellence, for the glory of God).

Specific Responsibilities

Recruiting

  • Manage active job listings

Application Process

  • Receive and screen incoming applications
  • Collect applicant references
  • Schedule interviews
  • Prepare interview packets
  • Process background checks
  • Participate in interviews when requested by Director of HR

Onboarding

  • Conduct new hire orientation
  • Collect and process new hire paperwork
  • Enter new hire info into Paychex and HR Connection

Tours

  • Conduct facility tours
  • Coordinate facility tours
  • Train tour guides

Staff Care

  • Prepare staff birthday cards
  • Coordinates card signing and floral arrangement delivery for special life events (new births, sympathy, etc.)
  • Facilitate monthly encouragement/appreciation events for staff
  • Collect yearly compliance forms (Statement of Faith, Performance Reviews)
  • Maintain/update phone directory and distribute to staff
  • Maintain online employee directory
  • Upload kitchen menu weekly

Internship

  • Plan team building events
  • Welcome interns upon arrival
  • Conduct regular meetings
  • Develop strong and continuously improved program
  • Monitor intern fundraising goals
  • Be a resource for interns when in need

Guide Retreat

  • Coordinate event with participating departments and staff
  • Liaison to attending participants and guests
  • Other Duties
  • Conduct facility tours
  • Other duties as assigned by Director of HR

Essential Job Functions

  • Must have strong personal relationship with Christ
  • Be proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel) and email
  • Have good written and verbal communication, including public speaking
  • Must be well organized and detail oriented
  • Customer service experience and good work ethic
  • Flexibility required as some events may require occasional weekends or evenings
