IMPACT Magazine Fall 2025

Sharing the Good News of Jesus

During the CEF International Conference in May, we focused on building ministry highways to reach 100 million children annually by 2032. We heard incredible testimonies from missionaries who share the Good News of Jesus with children around the world, and some of these stories are included in this edition. We look to God to empower us to continue sharing the Good News of Jesus with even more children.

Our Ministries

Good News Club®

Good News Club ministries take place in neighborhood settings such as homes, schools and community centers all over the world and are designed to bring the Gospel of Christ to children on their level in their environment.

5-Day Club®

In June all across the USA thousands of young people are trained to conduct 5-Day Clubs. Throughout the summer they have many opportunities to present the Gospel to boys and girls, experiencing the joy of leading others to the Lord.

Christmas Party Clubs™

Many children today don’t regularly attend church and have never heard the true meaning of Christmas. Wouldn’t it be great if thousands of children learned about the Christ of Christmas this year?

Camp Good News®

The international Camp Good News program has been an active part of the ministry of CEF throughout the years. Using CEF owned or rented facilities, trained staff maintain an exciting program focused on evangelism and discipleship.

Military Children’s Ministry

Military life can be difficult for all involved. Children in military families need people in their lives to anchor them in Jesus Christ, the Rock of Ages. A Good News Club held in a home or school in a military neighborhood provides stability and life-changing truth.

Junior Youth Challenge®

Junior Youth Challenge is an evangelistic and discipleship ministry for young people ages 11-14. This ministry bridges the gap between Good News Club and the Christian Youth In Action program and encourages young people to go on to serve in CEF ministry through CYIA™.

  • God is doing amazing things in @treasurevalleycef. This chapter serves nearly half of Idaho’s population and has seen incredible growth over the past few years. Since 2022, this chapter has grown from 4 to 19 Good News Clubs, now supported by over 100 volunteers. A faithful prayer team has been meeting weekly for over ten years, and their prayers are being answered. This school year alone, nearly 40 children have made professions of faith in Jesus. In 2024, more than 700 children were reached through summer and 𝘎𝘕𝘊 ministries and 120 professed salvation. The chapter also launched a unique Friday all-day 𝘎𝘰𝘰𝘥 𝘕𝘦𝘸𝘴 𝘊𝘭𝘶𝘣 after a local district switched to a four-day school week—offering kids Bible lessons, games, quiet time, and even free lunches provided by local restaurants! From Quick Start Trainings and Party Clubs to their “Good News Roundup” fundraising dinner and growing 𝘊𝘠𝘐𝘈™ program, God’s faithfulness is clear in every part of this ministry. #ChildEvangelismFellowship #CEFIdaho #TreasureValley #GoodNewsClub #CYIA

I’m on the children’s church teaching team at my church. I teach the younger group, which range from 3-6 years old. They are hilarious, sweet, and sometimes just plain squirrely! If something hits them funny it can be so easy for them to get distracted and before I know it they aren’t paying attention anymore!

When I was four years old my mom opened our home to a Good News Club®. Though Mom was not saved, she would sit in the club each week and listen as the lesson was taught. One day after club I told my mom I wanted to be saved. My unsaved mom led me to the Lord, repeating what she had heard in club each week. Soon after that Mom was saved too. Today there are about 15 different family members in some form of Christian ministry—pastor, missionary, etc.

When I was only three, I was led to the Lord by my brother who’d been trained in a Teaching Children Effectively courseTM. A couple of years later I started going to 5-Day Club® and Good News Club® then attended Christian Youth in Action® (CYIATM) and began teaching at age 12. After six fruitful years of summer ministry as a student and one as staff, I was excited to be called into the ministry full time and be following God’s path for my life.

I started to attend Good News Club® in Sioux City, Iowa when I was about four years old. My older brother went, and I liked to go along. I so clearly remember our teacher, dear Mrs. Dora Lock and her helper Betty Ritchie. She had GNC® in the basement of her home. I remember the day she had the lesson on the crucifixion like it was yesterday. She talked about how Jesus died to pay the price for our sins and all we had to do was believe on Him and accept His free gift. I was ready to accept him that day! I attended for several years and the Scripture that I memorized and the songs we sang have stuck with me to this day. I am forever grateful for my time spent in GNC and am loving being part of it again.
