Position: Maintenance Helper

General Responsibilities

Will work in different areas of the facilities as necessitate. Operate machinery and or tools per standard operating procedures. Able to learn new skills. Perform operations efficiently, effectively and safely with minimal supervision.

Specific Responsibilities

• Under general supervision, perform a variety of tasks requiring a good working knowledge of materials, tools, machines and equipment at efficiency standards dictated by area.
• Perform all duties to maintain the upkeep of the facility.
• Perform ground maintenance and minor repair work.
• Perform all duties safely; wearing required personal protective equipment, such as: ear protection, gloves, safety glasses, etc.
• May be responsible for training other employees or volunteers as the need occurs.
• Observe all safety rules and immediately report hazards to the supervisor.
• Be punctual and at work daily.
• Follow all company rules and regulations, per the Employee Reference Manual or department policy.

Essential Job Functions

• Knowledge of MSDS sheets. Able to read and follow MSDS requirements.
• Safety conscious and able to follow related policies
• Reasoning: Able to apply commonsense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.
• Physical: Good manual dexterity and eye-hand coordination. Able to reach, bend, lift (up to 50 lbs.), twist, squat, push and pull.
