Every Child, Every Nation, Every Day

CAMP GOOD NEWS®

The international Camp Good News program has been an active part of the ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship® throughout the years. Using CEF® owned or rented facilities, trained staff maintain an exciting program focused on evangelism and discipleship. The dates, format and cost of Camp Good News are typically different in each local area.
The Gospel is shared clearly during Bible lesson time, along with teachings on how to grow in Christ.
Whether a camper is hearing about Jesus for the first time or growing in an already-formed faith, we make sure every lesson points to the good news of salvation. We also teach practical ways to follow Jesus daily, helping kids learn what it means to live as a Christian beyond camp.
Each morning at camp, kids are split into age groups for Bible lessons designed just for them.
Campers gather with others their age to explore God’s Word in a fun, engaging way that’s tailored to their level of understanding. These morning sessions help set a meaningful tone for the day and give each child a chance to ask questions, build friendships, and grow in their faith.
Campers learn and memorize a Bible verse together each day as part of their lesson time.
We believe God’s Word is powerful and life-changing, so we encourage campers to hide it in their hearts. With songs, hand motions, and fun group challenges, memorizing Scripture becomes something they look forward to—and often something they remember long after camp ends.

A Life Investment
Camp Jireh-Maine, CEF of Central Maine
At Camp Good News, one boy in particular was having a hard time during the Bible lesson, so his leader pulled him aside to talk with him. He quickly realized the boy just needed someone to listen and show they cared. During their conversation, the leader learned that the camper did not have a Bible of his own. The leader got the boy his very own Bible and even wrote his name on it. The boy had the biggest smile on his face and was jumping up and down exclaiming, “I got my very own Bible!” We may never know the impact we have on a child’s life; however, we do know we serve a powerful God who has provided us with a life-giving, hope-inspiring message.

“The children at one camp were trained with Go and Tell! and then went on an outreach to share the Gospel. One young boy, Mahelby, shared the Gospel with a police officer in the neighborhood. As a result of the post-Camp Good News Gospel outreach, 536 children and adults received Jesus Christ as Savior.”
