ST. LOUIS — World Children’s Day was established in 1954 to promote international togetherness and improve children’s welfare. Celebrated on Nov. 20 of each year, the event encourages advocacy for children’s rights, well-being and access to a safe, nurturing environment.
For Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF®), the spirit of this day is expressed through the organization’s own bold initiative to reach 100 million children annually by 2032.
Fred Pry, CEF Vice President of Administration, says, “CEF is on a mission to reach every child, every nation, every day with the Gospel.”
To amplify their efforts and impact, CEF recently participated in the Billion Soul Harvest Conference. From Nov. 1-5, CEF sent staff from their international headquarters to speak at the conference in Jeju, South Korea, where 1,200 ministry leaders from more than 150 nations gathered with one united goal — reaching 1 billion people with the Gospel. The campaign is committed to accelerating the number of churches worldwide so that every person has the opportunity to hear the Gospel.
CEF was represented by Dean Hunsucker, Executive Director of Global Media; Andy Meinzinger, Director of Digital Ministries; and Philip Neves, Lead Animator in CEF’s Creative Department. The event provided a powerful platform to share the vision CEF has for reaching children with the Gospel and to engage with global leaders committed to advancing the Great Commission.
Hunsucker had the significant opportunity to address the entire conference from the main stage, delivering a passionate appeal for every ministry represented to prioritize reaching children with the Gospel. He emphasized that while every age group matters deeply to God, children form the largest, most open and most strategic mission field in the world today — and they must remain at the center of Great Commission efforts.
His message resonated strongly with attendees, prompting renewed conversations about children’s ministry across nations and networks.
In addition to his main-stage presentation, Hunsucker personally connected with nearly 100 ministry leaders, discussing CEF’s global strategy and exploring new avenues for collaboration.
Throughout the conference, Meinzinger and Neves hosted a Global Media booth highlighting CEF’s expanding digital ministry, including U-Nite TV®, U-Nite Radio® and upcoming multi-language digital tools designed to serve children, teachers and families around the world.
The conference’s emphasis on unity, partnership and Gospel acceleration aligned closely with CEF’s mission to reach “Every Child, Every Nation, Every Day.” Delegates from Asia, Africa, Europe, Latin America and the Middle East expressed strong interest in integrating CEF’s digital and print resources into their national ministry strategies.
“Seeing the global body of Christ unite with one vision — harvesting a billion souls — was humbling and energizing,” Hunsucker said. “CEF is honored to contribute to this movement and remains committed to bringing the Good News of Jesus to children everywhere.”
CEF presses on toward its goal of reaching 100 million children with the Gospel by strengthening international partnerships, advancing digital innovation and expanding Gospel access to the next generation.
Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), which was founded 88 years ago, has been establishing the Good News Club® in countries around the world for decades.
