“So it is not the will of my Father who is in heaven that one of these little ones should perish.” -Matthew 18:14 (ESV)

Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) is a Bible-centered organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in the local church for Christian living.

CEF has many different ministries for children, but the primary ones are Good News Club and the 5-Day Club.

CEF provides classes to train their workers and other Christians who are burdened for evangelizing children.

CEF Press produces and distributes Bible and missionary lessons and related materials for use in teaching children to help accomplish the goals of the ministry.

Transforming Lives For 80 Years

Child Evangelism Fellowship has more open doors than ever. The times are urgent and the work is vital. We long to reach 100 million children each year with the Gospel of Christ. We’re grateful for our heritage but even more excited about what the Lord will do in our future.

Bringing Change to the Inner City

During the summer Patti, the local director for the Greater Chattanooga chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship® organizes teams to run 5-Day Club® in community centers in the inner city. Then the opportunity opened for the Chattanooga chapter to start Good News Clubs in 17 of these community centers.

Where did the name Christ come from and what does it mean?

The word Christ had a long and interesting history! In the Old Testament, the Jewish people looked forward to the day when God would send a King He chose to rule the entire world. The Hebrew word for this king was Messiah and means “the anointed (chosen) one.” Later, in the New Testament the word Messiah was translated into the Greek word, Christos. The English word Christ comes from this Greek word.

One Child at a Time

Enjoying the scenery on a recent vacation became a challenge as the traffic increased. “My goal is to be there by 3 p.m.,” my husband declared as he whizzed by another car. “And we’re going to do it one car at a time!” Goals can be important on vacation but they’re even more critical in the classroom. What goals do you have for your teaching? And how will you know when you’ve reached them?
