ST. LOUIS — Children Reaching Children™, a ministry of Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF), is focused on equipping children to share the Gospel with their peers through the interactive Go and Tell! training.
“Our goal is that by 2032, one million children will be trained annually and that they will share their faith with 10 million children each year,” says CEF Vice President of Administration, Fred Pry. “The long-term impact of a generation committed to the Great Commission cannot be overstated.”
Go and Tell! teaches Gospel truths, provides witnessing tools, and includes group instruction, small group and partner practice. The training is flexible in format, so children in different situations can participate. It is divided into four 50-minute sessions with breaks and a closing challenge.
“This is a highly interactive program designed to help children learn how to reach their friends for Christ,” Pry says. “Go and Tell! teaches kids how to share the Gospel truths using colors. Engaging teaching, demonstrations, review games, and practice times are all included.”
CEF aims to grow the Children Reaching Children program implementing the Go and Tell! training for more children, with a goal of reaching 2.7 million children each year through the training of 66,000 saved children by 2028.
A testimony from Ethiopia about Children Reaching Children
“Last year, 1,192 children received Go and Tell! training in Ethiopia. They went on to reach more than 100,000 of their peers. One child, 11-year-old Selamawit, witnessed 42 children in one month. He said, ‘I prayed so much and told every child I met — around home, at school, even on the road when I go to church and school.’
“Abigail took her Gospel bookmark in her school bag. Some of her friends were attracted by its colors and took it. They didn’t understand what it said. So, they came to Abigail, and she shared the Good News with six of her friends.
“Children who share the Gospel with others grow spiritually. Even in challenging places, it’s easier for children to reach their friends.” – Zerihun Furgassa, National Director, CEF of Ethiopia
Testimony from Namibia about Children Reaching Children
“Ten-year-old Mahelby attended a Good News Club® and Camp Good News®. He received Jesus as Savior. When asked what he had learned so far at camp, Mahelby pulled out his Gospel bookmark and ‘The Wordless Book,’ and shared the message of salvation. After camp, Mahelby shared ‘The Wordless Book’ in church. When the pastor asked where he learned it, he said at Camp Good News! Mahelby became a child of God and a young missionary.
“Other children returned to different villages and shared ‘The Wordless Book.’ Churches are growing. One pastor shared that he has two services each Sunday because children started attending church. The Children Reaching Children program has multiplied ministry in Namibia.” – Trudie van Niekerk, National Director, CEF of Namibia
