ST. LOUIS —Since 1937, Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF®) has shared the Gospel with children around the world, discipling them through the Word of God and helping them become rooted in churches for a life of Christian faith and practice. Key to this international effort are CEF Party Clubs.
According to Fred Pry, Vice President of Administration, “Party Clubs are outreach ministries that share the Gospel with children in a variety of church backgrounds, including children who do not attend any church. These special events are led by CEF-trained teachers, who have a heart for God and young people.”
Each Party Club features an engaging Gospel-centered Bible lesson, interactive games, a memory verse and fun songs. Party Clubs are designed to be versatile and can be used as a one-time outreach event, a Good News Club® kickoff or holiday celebrations.
One of the most impactful opportunities for outreach is Easter.
“Children need to be introduced to Resurrection Sunday in a way they can understand how it applies to them,” observed Pry. “Easter Party Clubs are designed to convey profound biblical truth on a child’s level so they can personalize why Christ died and rose again, by learning why the resurrection is so important, why it was necessary and just how deeply Jesus loves them.”
This message is being carried around the world, with positive reports pouring in from countries throughout Europe and the world.
In Armenia, one missionary recalled, “During one Easter Party Club, an 8-year-old boy listened closely as the teacher explained that Jesus gives life and brings hope. He said, ‘I should keep this hope in my heart, that one day I will have eternal life in heaven.’ After the meeting, he picked up the Bible devotional he had received and said, ‘I am going to start reading this today!’”
In Albania, a teacher shared, “Last Easter, we had the opportunity to bless local churches with literature and a special CEF lesson. At one gathering, a child stood up and said, ‘Indeed, this is strange and unbelievable (that Jesus rose from the dead), but only God has the power to do it.’ Moments like these remind us of the wonder and lasting impact of God’s Word.”
And in Romania, a missionary remarked, “In the weeks leading up to Easter, we organized numerous Easter Party Clubs in Bihor County. We were able to reach children in schools, kindergartens, churches and even in their homes. At one Party Club, a parent thanked us for ministering to the children and even shared their personal struggles. Later at another school program, a teacher remarked at the end that she had never heard such a clear presentation of the Easter message for both children and adults.”
According to Iulian Mangalagiu, Regional Director for CEF of Europe, Easter provides a prime opportunity to share the Gospel:
“In many countries across Europe, Easter is just as important as Christmas. People are often very open to holding Easter Party Clubs. For us, this is a great opportunity to help children hear the true message of Easter in a clear and memorable way. The impact extends beyond the event itself, as local churches build meaningful connections with children and families.”
“You can’t overestimate the impact of an Easter Party Club,” summarized Pry. “When children understand why we celebrate Easter, they discover the One behind it all.”
Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), founded in 1937, has been establishing ministry to children in countries around the world for decades.
In 2024, more than 31 million children worldwide heard or read the Good News through CEF ministries.
