Greater Pee Dee Chapter of Child Evangelism Fellowship® of SC is seeking a ministry-minded individual who is being called to fill a part-time or full-time position of Ministry Coordinator.
General Responsibilities
A ministry coordinator performs the planning, execution, and supervision of Child Evangelism Fellowship® ministries, such as our Bible clubs for children – the after-school Good News Club® or 5-Day Club®. The ministry coordinator should be able to plan and analyze, demonstrate organizational skills, and motivate people by promoting CEF programs and methods with individuals, churches, community organizations, and school districts.
Specific Responsibilities
Ensures growth of after-school Good News Clubs (Bible clubs) within the chapter.
Finds and develops relationships with key contacts and stimulates PR opportunities.
Supervises the quality of Good News Clubs in schools through routine visits to clubs and evaluates adherence to CEF Policies.
Oversees partnering church GNC team leaders and their teams to fulfill volunteer policies, including background screenings, volunteer training, follow up, and consistent encouragement.
Ensure CEF administrative responsibilities to the state and national CEF offices are completed and coordinate local school district requirements to conduct after-school Good News Clubs in partnership with local churches.
Meets regularly with Local Coordinator/Director and provides a monthly written report.
Accomplishes other tasks as requested by Local Director.
You will work with local director to develop teens for Christian Youth In Action® to serve as Summer Missionaries at 5-Day Clubs and other outreaches.
Oversee the operations of 5-Day Clubs and other summer outreach events.
Updates the local director regularly on ministry status, concerns, and potential problems, keeping excellent documentation on all school and ministry-related matters.
Be an ambassador for the Chapter and actively involved in chapter fundraising.
Support ministry activities and work as a team.
Qualifications
A daily walk with the Lord and constant prayer life.
A mature Christian demonstrating the character of Jesus Christ.
In good standing with a local church.
Confident about calling to minister to children.
A clear background screening.
Loves the local church and other Christian organizations valuing them as ministry partners.
Willing to abide by the purpose and policies of CEF.
A continual learner and strategist who loves people with the ability to demonstrate Biblical leadership building teams who are diverse in skills, experience, and culture.
Competent knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel), Canva, and Facebook.
Work towards completion of a Bible certificate and Children’s Ministry Institute® diploma as required.
Must have the ability to take the initiative on tasks and maintain a positive, professional attitude.
