ST. LOUIS — Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF) President, Jeremiah Cho, has written a new book, “My Good Shepherd,” in which he shares about his spiritual walk, his struggles, God’s miraculous work in his life, and in the people touched by CEF ministries.
“The Lord called me to be His sheep and made me His servant,” Cho writes at the outset of the book. “He became my Good Shepherd and directed my life according to His wonderful plan for me. My part was to listen to His voice and to follow Him. He accomplished what seemed impossible in my life. It became my desire to declare God’s heart for the children around the world, to share about His work in my life, and to exalt Him among the nations. That is why we published this book.”
Reese Kauffman, President Emeritus of CEF, says in the foreword, “Jeremiah allows the reader into his life as he openly shares stories about his spiritual walk, struggles (including learning English), and God’s miraculous work and supply, from small to large things.
“He had a humble beginning as he grew up in South Korea. God led Jeremiah to the Savior as a high school student, and he gave his total life to CEF.
“Jeremiah has held various positions with CEF through the years. He has a thorough knowledge of CEF ministry… His passion for training is evident. He sees it as a way to recruit and equip volunteers and workers and to keep the ministry on point.”
Jeremiah Cho shares why he decided to write his new book, “My Good Shepherd”:
“My lifelong desire is to sing and exalt the work of my Good Shepherd, the Lord Jesus Christ, and reveal what He has done in my life. Walking with Jesus and living under His guidance has been a constant source of wonder, joy, excitement, and thanksgiving. How could I not praise Him?
“I write this book from my office at Child Evangelism Fellowship International Headquarters in Warrenton, Missouri. Ever since I trusted Jesus Christ as Savior, I have experienced the constant care and leading of my Good Shepherd. In the following pages, you will read about my Good Shepherd and all He has done for me — how He called me, a weak lamb, and guided me with His mighty hand. He showed me His plan for my life and revealed the spiritual need of children around the world who are lost in sin. He called me to serve with CEF, beginning as a staff member for a local chapter in South Korea, to my current role as president of this global ministry.
“Our goal is to reach children of every nation, every tribe, and every tongue. As you read this book, I hope you will experience the hand of the Good Shepherd. May you rely on Him alone to fulfill the Great Commission entrusted to you to reach children for Christ, until the last one hears.”
All proceeds from “My Good Shepherd” are going toward the Sponsor-a-National™ (SPAN™) program. The SPAN program provides financial assistance to trained nationals as they serve as full-time missionaries with CEF in their home countries.
