Teach Kids!

While the world cares about physical gifts, which are temporary, the Lord calls Christians to care about a completely different set of gifts that are not as easily apparent. However, these gifts make a monumental impact in the heavenly realm that will last for eternity. These are called SPIRITUAL gifts.

Getting kids to talk to you about cyberbullying can be hard. They may be too embarrassed to talk about it. Maybe they feel like it’s something they should be able to handle themselves, or maybe they’re scared that getting adults involved will make their situation worse, or restrict their activities. Do your best to make sure kids know you’re safe to talk to and that you want what’s best for everyone involved.

Ministering to kids can be rewarding, but it can also be challenging and even discouraging at times. Sometimes I grow weary in well-doing. I feel like, after all my hard work and prayer, kids still aren’t getting saved and there’s no change.

Fears, whether warranted or imagined, affect our thoughts and actions. For some, courage trumps fear, maybe even resulting in acts of heroism. What does God want us to do with our fear?

Unexpected things happen in life. But when children learn to trust God, they know who to turn to in difficult times.

How did you get involved with your local church? Churches tend to focus their outreach on adults, but there are so many ways to creatively reach out to kids!

I’m part of a generation that experienced the evolution of technology from chunky box monitors, desk tops, and flip phones to thin tablets and smart phones. For many teachers and parents, the constant changes in technology are overwhelming.

What was your last conflict like? Disagreements, arguments, hurt feelings are hard. But do you know what can make conflicts worse? Gossip. During conflict, it’s easy to turn to gossip to “vent our feelings.” And while there is a place for talking through conflict, if we aren’t careful, it can become a coverup for gossip.
