ST. LOUIS It is estimated that 3.2 billion of the world’s 8 billion people are unreached, which means 40% of the global population has not heard the Good News of Jesus Christ.

For Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF®), Christmastime offers a timely opportunity to share the true meaning of Christmas with children everywhere.

According to Fred Pry, CEF Vice President of Administration, “Children love Christmas and see it as a season of gift-giving, which makes them especially open to hearing about God’s greatest gift: His Son.”

Since 1937, CEF has shared the Gospel with children around the world, discipling them through the Word of God and helping them become rooted in a Bible-believing church for Christian living.

This holiday season, CEF workers and trained volunteers will host Christmas Party Clubs (CPC™), which will feature a Gospel-focused Bible lesson, engaging games, a memory verse, fun songs and more — all centered around helping children discover the true meaning of Christmas.

These seasonal events are built on an ambitious goal.

Pry said, “Our aim is to conduct 17,000 Christmas Party Club® seminars to train 320,000 volunteers, while conducting 470,000 clubs worldwide. Our goal is to reach 14 million children with the true meaning of Christmas.”

Ultimately, CEF hopes to see millions of children receive Jesus as their Savior, while kickstarting 40,000 new Good News Clubs.

To achieve this large-scale goal, CEF is inviting supporters to join in their 50 Days of Prayer initiative, which encourages prayer partners to commit to praying each day through December 24 for CPC. For CEF in the Middle East, these prayers provide a sense of hope and prosperity for Christmas Party Clubs, as workers face unique challenges sharing the Gospel.

CEF Regional Director of the Middle East, Brother Justin, shared,Even though the nations in our region are not Christian, many still recognize and celebrate Christmas as a commercial event. This openness allows our workers to invite children to Christmas Party Clubs, and in most cases, the invitations are warmly received. Our teams use this opportunity to share the message of salvation through a simple, child-friendly story.

“In some countries, our workers still face challenges, yet God continues to protect and sustain them. At times, they must hide materials from authorities, but even in these circumstances, the Lord has kept them safe. We give Him all the glory — He alone is the reason we are reaching such a vast number of children.”

Brother Justin asks for continued prayer that God will:

  • Protect workers as they serve
  • Provide favorable weather conditions for every Christmas Party Club
  • Bring more than 6 million boys and girls in the region to hear the good news through this ministry

One CEF worker in the Middle East shares the lengths to which workers go to share the Gospel with children:

“Two workers are currently near the border of a sensitive country for the Christmas Party Club program. Due to very limited transportation, they have been walking through the jungle and will need to cross a river. Please kindly keep them in your prayers, asking the Lord to help them in every need.”

The first Christmas Party Club in a different sensitive country was with children from a conservative religious background. The mothers were veiled and in full Islamic dress. But thank God, they accepted the invitation. The child had accepted Jesus as her Savior before attending the club by reading the Gospel of John. At the end of the club, she testified to her faith in her mother’s presence.
