ST. LOUIS The United States’ Hispanic population is one of the fastest-growing groups in the nation, accounting for 19% of all Americans as the second-largest racial or ethnic group.

Child Evangelism Fellowship® (CEF), an international ministry with concern for all people from every nation, tribe and tongue, recognizes the importance of reaching all of God’s children and is on a mission to reach every child from every nation with the Gospel.

CEF is committed to reaching the growing Hispanic population through its Spanish Ministry, which provides resources for reaching and discipling children who speak Spanish in the U.S. and around the globe.

“CEF wants all to know and experience the love of God, the sacrifice of Christ’s death on the cross, and that He offers the free gift of eternal life if they choose to accept it,” said CEF Spanish Ministry’s Erica Alvarez. “Our Spanish Ministry introduces children and their families to the Gospel in their heart language while welcoming them into a community of believers.”

The ministry in the U.S. reaches approximately 25,000 children through 285 Hispanic clubs and events (evangelistic and discipleship) through Good News Club®, 5-Day Club® and Christmas Party Club® with materials in Spanish.

CEF USA Ministries has several Hispanic chapters operating with bilingual staff and volunteers. Several other chapters currently offer ministry in Spanish by utilizing trained volunteers as well.

“We are continuously working with churches and families in Hispanic communities across the country to effectively evangelize and disciple Spanish-speaking children,” said Alvarez. “Knowing the power of the Gospel, our goal is to share it in their heart language; they, in turn, will be inspired to share it within their Spanish-speaking communities.”

In addition to the ministry’s Hispanic chapters, CEF provides many resources in Spanish, including the “A Better Life” (“Una vida mejor”) tool, to allow volunteers and leaders to reach children with the life-changing Gospel, sharing the story of God’s faithfulness to Abraham.

CEF also provides free Wordless Book Gospel training for Spanish speakers to understand effective methods for using the Wordless Book.

Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF), which was founded 88 years ago, has been establishing the Good News Club® in countries around the world for decades. Clubs are thriving worldwide, in countries including Australia, Cambodia, Congo, Ethiopia, Ghana, Indonesia, Kenya, Malaysia, New Zealand, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Uganda and many more.
