Child Evangelism Fellowship® charges ahead into 2026 after a pivotal year of global impact

Fred Pry, CEF® Vice President of Administration: ‘With 3,600 staff and hundreds of thousands of volunteers worldwide, we are well on the way to our long-term goal of sharing the Good News of the Gospel with 100 million children’

ST. LOUIS — Since 1937, Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) has been committed to reaching young people with the Good News of Jesus, while educating and equipping the next generation of ministry leaders. 2025 was no exception, as the organization ministered to children in their communities (Good News Club®, 5-Day Club® and Christmas Party Club®), online (the U-Nite® streaming platforms) and around the world while training future leaders at its Children’s Ministries Institute® (CMI).

During CEF’s closing service of 2025, Vice President of Administration Fred Pry reflected on the journey so far and looked forward to what’s next.

Pry said, “As we look back at this past year, we see how God moved in ways big and small. We see how He’s using our workers globally through our training programs and how He’s used them to expand our organization. God is blessing the ministry of our education teams all around the world and our regional education directors, who’ve been working hard this year to increase the number of teachers trained.”

CEF international instructors have trained over half a million teachers over each of the last two years. Training is always taking place somewhere in the world. The goal for 2026 is to train 1 million teachers through online and in-person training.

God is not only doing a work all around the world, but He did some amazing things at CEF Headquarters through CMI. This year, hundreds of students completed modules of CMI, either on campus or online, in preparation to further His kingdom among children. This training ensures CEF workers and volunteers are equipped to share the Word of God.

Pry explained further, “One student shared with us, ‘Attending CMI has been one of the most meaningful seasons of my life. I’ve seen God answer prayers and show his faithfulness in ways that still leave me in awe. From the moment I arrived, I was surrounded by teachers who love the Lord deeply and serve with humility and joy. Seeing that consistently modeled among staff has been amazing and the standard I want to set for my CEF chapter and my team.’

“Today, hundreds of thousands of teachers around the world are being prepared to join our workforce; to grow our impact and expand our outreach to children globally.

“Blessing comes directly from God’s hand, and He’s blessing the ministry of CEF. So, we must praise the Lord.”

Pry concluded, “With 3,600 staff and hundreds of thousands of volunteers worldwide, we are well on the way to our long-term goal of sharing the Good News of the Gospel with 100 million children.”
