As Americans, we value our independence. But with independence comes responsibility. I think of our goal as parents to raise our children to become independent adults.

All children will at some point in their lives experience a crisis. It might be living in a community that has experienced a natural disaster, having a parent or sibling who has a debilitating illness, or losing a family member to an accident.

Can you think of an opportunity that changed your life? For many teens Christian Youth In Action has been that life-changing opportunity.

Do you know which church holidays occur after Easter? Even if you didn’t grow up in a tradition that celebrated the high church calendar there’s a lot of good in remembering events from it.
